First there, no matter where.
Since 1984, International Medical Corps has worked to relieve the suffering of those affected by conflict, disaster and disease, delivering emergency medical and related services that help devastated communities return to self-reliance.
And that’s just where we start.
We stay on to help survivors build a better future. We train people in their communities, providing them with the skills they need to recover, chart their own path to self-reliance and become effective first responders themselves. We work with the community, hire and train local staff, develop partnerships at all levels and evaluate progress to ensure quality. With a staff of more than 7,500 worldwide-96% of whom are recruited locally-our teams ensure that the knowledge required to prepare for and respond effectively to an emergency remains anchored in the community, so residents can better respond should disaster strike again.

Men in Lebanon Breaking the Cycle of Violence
Abdulrahman and Habib, two Lebanese fathers and caregivers, joined the Cycle of Violence sessions in Akkar and Saida, part of the AMANI Project, implemented in partnership with Plan International Lebanon and supported by the Australian government via the Australian Humanitarian Partnership.
These sessions help men recognize stressors, understand different types of violence and adopt healthier coping mechanisms. By taking part, they learn how to promote gender equality and actively address gender-based violence in their communities while fulfilling their social and familial responsibilities.

Our Global Ambassadors share their support for war survivors in Ukraine
Why ? Ask yourself why is war Always in Africa ? Why can't Africa know peace , I really wonder why the richest Continent in the world is always in conflict, and the people the poorest in the world, you think about that .I wonder who want them to Continually keep fighting , and for who's benefit , you think about that .(Africa unite) , cause YOUR children want to come home .
